Never met David Jason but can Defend Bruce Alexander as a very pleasant man who I met doing film extra work on Midsommer Murders - a very nice guy who sat and chatted to the extras when he wasn't filming. And unlike Mullett, he has an infectious laugh.

My sisters ex-boyfriends brother was an editor on A Touch of Frost and said Sir David Jason was the nicest person he had worked with along with Sir Derek Jacobi..

I remember a newspaper feature about 10 - 15 years ago where a journalist (undercover) wrote to several personalities asking them for advice about going into acting. If I remember rightly, of about 12 celebrities, David Jason was one of the only ones who replied and gave quite lengthy advice.

About 10 years ago my mum picked me up from school (I was 😎 and told me we were going back to her work because David Jason was there filming A Touch of Frost and remember him to be a fantastic and funny man, everyone who worked where my mum worked said the same thing, we also got our picture taken with him.
So Either your cousins boyfriend caught him on a bad day or is just plain lying.

                  Tbh i've herd both ways.
The cinema i work at the old owners had a autographe from him saying best wishes to (old cinema owners) from David Jason. Not sure what 5b4it was for but nice of him to send it to him. On the over side a person who use to work at the cinema a old job he had was working in a hotel near Sandringham where he was filming "All the King's Men" he thought oh its David Jason went up to him and said "can i have your autographe please" and his reply was "Oh (F-Bomb) off"
He was probably having a bad day or something that made him do these things. After all hes only human

I've had the privilege to work with David Jason on three ITV productions and what you've heard couldn't be further from the truth.
He is a very private man and doesn't really mix with cast and crew off-set, but he always queued up for his dinner with the rest of us and refused to be treated like a star. He was a very down to earth man, brought a birthday card in on one day because he'd heard it was someone's birthday (one of the make-up girls I think!), and was very friendly. He even signed an 'Only Fools and Horses' book that I brought in (although I got told off by the assistant producer for aksing him!!)
He is a little distant because he values his privacy, but I never saw him raise his voice at crew members. He also doesn't use foul language. I never heard him swear ever, even when certain takes broke down due to other peoples mistakes.
This rumour is ill-founded and plain wrong. David Jason is a consummate professional and there are many, many people who would queue up to work with him. Actors with bad reputations just wouldn't have the success he has had.
Your faith should be restored, as he is a top bloke!

There was only ever 4 episodes of Micawber, so if your DVD has all these four, then that's all there is. Strange they would put 'complete season 1' on the cover, when there was never a season 2

I worked with him as an extra a few weeks ago and he seemed fine enough, as someone else said quite a private man he didn't seem to keen on signing things but I think it was the attention fazing him perhaps as there were quite a few extras there that day.
He also ate on the lunchtruck with the rest of the crew, cast and extras that day rather than what the original poster would perhaps imply of him going of to his trailer, so unless the op caught him on a very bad day I think it's prob bull.
Wish i'd su2000mmoned the balls to get him to sign my only fools dvds

Oh BS. Whenever you're in showbiz in any way there's always someone eager to bad mouth you, and the bigger the star you are the more people there are wanting to slag you off.
As for your mate's cousin's boyfriend's best friend's cameraman or whatever - of course he had a reason to lie! Look, he's kicked off a whole thread on IMDb, he's practically famous himself now!

Its somewhat true. I think years of being one of Britain's mnost recognised faces has turned him this way. He won't talk to fans. Don't ever ask for an autograph if you bump into him, he will rudely refuse.
This was told to me by the organisers of the OFAH conventions who have met him a few times.
