Well i believe David Jason wins it hands down. no disrespect to the late great John Thaw. he was also an english actor to be proud of but D. Jason is my favourite british actor ever. i love only fools so much and he was awsome in it. he can play a lesser comedic role like Granville in Open All Hours. he played a character in Porridge. he plays a thief in his most recent show Diamond Geezer and another major role was he plays a detective in A touch of Frost. he i5b4s even a cartoon voice in Danger Mouse. he is amazingly versatile and he pulls every single one of them off brilliantly. he is a legend and fully deserving of his knighthood. i love the guy. i have not got enough praising words to say for him. he is a god. he shares the same birthday as me as well. a fact i am proud of. but hes 48 years older than me.

Talks about Sophie's choice, blimey! They've had such different careers and both deserve all the aclaim they get. Can't choose, won't choose, so there
The Code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. -

DAVID JASON!!
Let's for a moment forget playing DIFFERENT VERSATILE ROLES. Del Boy within itself is probably one of the single most versatile roles ever seen, on any sized screen portrayed by anyone. In a split second the character can go from making us laugh to making us cry. David Jason has the amazing ability to do this transformation in an instant.
It is mentioned above, but he is truly a legend! One of my favourite actors in the WORLD, and without a doubt the best actor to have appeared on our British screens.
