Carolyn Jones originated the role of Morticia on The Addams Family tv show from the 60's and she will forever remain the best Morticia ever.

Knowing very little about her I was happy that TCM put on a mini-film festival in her honor.
"Last Train from Gun Hill" was very good, and I'm not a big fan of westerns. The second was the "The Bachelor Party", but it was so unusual (for lack of a better term) I didn't watch all of it, and missed her role. (which was supposed to be small even though she was nominated for an Oscar for her performance)

ABSOLUTELY TRUE! Others are just variations about Morticia, but Carolyn created the best and the real one. Her Morticia had such a style and grace.

The role was made to be hers.
I wish she was still alive today.

Totally agree, no one has EVER come close to been as amazing as Carolyn Jones was. NO one can be as great a Morticia as Carolyn was; Carolyn Jones IS Morticia Addams.
