Are these boards not for asking questions? Why does someone always get offended? We want to know things? JUST BECAUSE.
(How old is someone? Are they gay/straight? Are they married? Where were they born? What is their ethnicity? How tall are they?)
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT? -

You don't get it. IMDB discussions don't JUST have to be about peoples acting abilities? I always see people get mad at the straight/gay thing? But never about how tall someone is. It is not to saywe will/won't like someone if they are short/tall, etc? It is just a curiosity. Like I saidwe want to know JUST BECAUSE. What is so offensive about that? Nothing.

Curiosity is human nature. Don't you want to know things about people? When you meet people.don't you ask them questions? It is sort of like that. But I don't understand what you mean about "gloating". That doesn't make sense to me on the subject we are talking about. Because I already said I didn't base liking someone on their height, etc. Curiosity about someone doesn't mean we are looking for something to ridicule. I guess we don't understand each other at all.

Yeah, because wondering how tall someone is is just like staring at a car crash.
But only if you believe being short is like being a car crash. Which it isn't. No-one is saying that height affects acting ability or your value as a person. People are just curious. -

One of these days no one will be allowed to have an opinion. No wonder parents hate when kids say, "ok" or "I don't know". Kids feel it opens a can of worms if they give an opinion. Really, this is getting too PC.
I'm interrested in his height. People makes it sound it's against the law to ask anything that makes people sound that they can be different. Thank goodness we all come in different sizes, shapes, colors, etc., or we all will be boring. -

I think it a perfectly reasonable question. Maybe he is asking because he himself is short, and "looks up" no pun intended to the actor as a role model. But regardless, it is a perfectly b68reasonable question.

you're being way too sensitive. It's interesting to know how height is addresssed in moviemaking and camera angles used to portray an effect. For example, Bilbo Baggins in Lord of the Rings is actually normal height (can't recall the actor's name) but when filmed next to Gandalf, actually seemed much shorter. He also made an excellent Napoleon. So lighten up.
