To those of you wondering what role Nicky had in Dark Knight, it was the scene in the SWAT van when Dent was in Back.
He was riding shotgun and was the only one who talked. The driver (who was Gordon in disguise) remained silent.
He had a lot of really funny lines.
      "What is that, a bazooka?!?"

Just watching Suburbia and said the same thing to my girl. Always liked his style
Gary Dourdan looks like Gary Gnu from the Great Space Coaster.

Hate to say this, but I thought he began to consider himself "star material," and bolted from Boston Public a bit too soon, expecting movie5b4 stardom, which never happened.

I didn't get that from him. It's understandable why he left BP when he did, because the show was already going downhill towards the end of season 2. Plus, he had quite a few movies filming at the same time. I didn't equate the # of movies he was doing at that time as a measurement of 'stardom' or whatever.

Or a John Garfield. He prefers to be another Warren Oates.

He's so very versatile. Nicky Katt is the kind of guy who could be in every movie released in a year and never seem out of place.

Can't believe he was the racist in Time to Kill AND the driver from Dark Knight. Did not make that connection.

                        i don't get it, man,
ever since i saw a few movies he'd been in years ago i assumed he'd become a bigger actor, and his presence and performances and movies he'd wind up in made it seem like he was well-known and well-liked within the movie industry so he might have been taking small roles intentionally,
it almost seems like acting is his hobby and he has some real job during the day

Nicky Katt is a good actor and I was pleasantly surprised when he popped up in The Dark Knight, and wish he was in more prominent roles as well.
Tom Hanks was taken serious before Forrest Gump though. He was a box office draw from his comedies already, but it was Philadelphia that demonstrated his talent as a serious actor.

Couldn't agree more. You nailed my sentiments exactly. It's almost as he's so good at acting, it's beneath him to actually perform, so he takes bit roles.
                              The guy is SCARY good.

I still remember this guy's acting from the Boston Public days. I just checked his profile to see what he's been up to since, and I was very surprised to see not much of anything. He's got great talent. He must either have an awful agent, or really piss off casting directors. There's gotta be some reason he hasn't at least gotten some good supporting roles.

I'm on the same boat as Fuh Q Dude. I was just thinking about Katt and wondering what he was up to. I was surprised to see so little activity. I was really expecting some more work. It seems like his career has petered out and I can't understand why.
It seems like he was on a roll around 2000. He was on Boston Public and I liked him in Way Of The Gun. Things seemed to be on a positive roll, he was in The Limey and that other Soderbergh film and I was thinkin this guy is finally breaking out. And now nothing. I was surprised to see him in such a bit role in TDK. I recognized him right away and thought he would have a larger role.
Dalton and Craig! Accept NO substitutes!
