Nobody beats Charlie Kaufman's genius. Kubr7ecick's scripts are amazing, but they werent strait out of his brain. Tarantino comes close, but his writing doesn't have the beauty and magic that Charlie's does.
You seem to overlook the fact that Kaufman steals ideas from, gee, just about everything. You only think him original because you don't know from what he steals.

yes Nobody beats CHarlie Kaufman .Can you think of a writer has more respect ?
this man direct his movies on papers.when he works with spike Jonze ,with Michel Gondry it still a Kaufman's movie.I think even this guy works with genius auteur directors like PTA ,Chris Nolan,Darren Aronfsky,David Lynch,Wong Kar Wai,it still a Charlie KAufman's movie.
This guy will change the point of view of creating movies.
I think he must be in the same list with Kubrick ,Orson welles,Godard,Coppola,Scorsese,Tarantino he must be with them as a creator of his movies those people are not only directors, they are creators.thier movies belong in particular to them. -

Negative. These Directors you mention have their own vision, they are auteurs themselves. Gondry is a washout, sorry to say, with no personal vision so he took Charlies. Put Scorcese on that script, there would be a lot of improvisation, the characters would be Italian, it would be directed in his signature "constantly moving" camerwork THE POINT IS: THINGS WILL CHANGE!!! To suit his vision.
Being weird doesn't make you great, it makes you different. Some people appreciate wierdness, some don't. I don't. Kaufman's scripts are boring to me, his films even more so.

He cannot be put with the likes of Kubrick, Orson Welles or Scorcese. Those guys are genius' in their fields of writer/director. Kaufman is writer only, when he branched out to writer/director, his direction skills lack. How then, can he be put on the same level?

You're describing an auteur. Being an auteur doesn't make you great. It makes you an auteur
