Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Staci Keanan

She was signing autographs at the Hollywood Collectable show today.I always wanted to ask if Step By Step is going to be on DVD, she said she doesnt know. I mentioned you would think it would since many older shows are going on DVD. Stacie said, Yes, maybe its because the show is still on ABC Family. I also ask if she kept in touch with other former cast members. She had said she has kept in touch with Christine Lakin the most. She had also mentioned that Stacie had been doing some small TV movies in production, and does some plays, which some are in productional stages. I asked if she had a myspace page, which she doesnt and she did change the photo and update it on her IMDB page. She was nice and friendly to everyone who met her BTW.

She was super pretty when she was growing up on Step By Step, and now that she is 30+, she is a very attractive woman. The thing that always struck me is her witI believe she is very intelligent and clever. She would be great on a dramatic series with a slight comedy bent. I believe she helped dispel the blonde bimbo perception with her portrayal of Dana Foster. If the right vehicle comes along, she's got the makings for another successful series in her.

I have always wondered why Staci never broke through or for that matter why any of the SBS cast did nothing and went into obscurity. Christine Lakin has had the best success, going to UCLA and earning a bachelors degree in communications and remaining active. If Staci keeps in touch with Christine that is fantastic news. All we need now is a Step By Step reunion show which I think is totally in order.

I met her once and spent about an hour with her. She seems very blah. Like she takes herself and others too seriously. Actually, at the time, to me she reminded me exactly of the character she played on Step By Step. I remember thinking, "I can see why they had cast you for that part. That is who you are." She does seem very smart, but very dry.
