Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Jim Kelly

    SealedCargo — 6 years ago(January 10, 2020 02:45 AM)

Fred is so Fred at autograph shows. at one, Kelly was just on the other side of the side door, and Fred asked me, "What's Kelly chargin'?" I told him, which was a little more than Williamson, and Fred shook his head with a knowing grin.
Another time, this time after Jim's death, Fred said the reason Kelly had no dialogue in Take A Hard Ride was because he couldn't act. It was mean but kind of funny, and he said it like a friend bagging on another friend.
I did point out that Kelly's oocky ENTER THE DRAGON character in his greatest role had Williamson-like bravado. Fred, of course, agreed.

Jim should have gone to acting school and reinvent himself as a character actor. There's no shame in it. Even Josh Brolin and Eric Stoltz went back to drama class after they were established as actors.
