By "Cool" may we assume you mean the 1970s black imagery? I for example think of Denzel Washington as "cool" (did not really care that much for his crooked cop in Training Day) but would not think of him as anything like the typical black man we saw on the screen in the 1970s nor as a rapper. I really liked him in Crimson Tide. So what's "cool" for purposes of this thread?
