Hard to fathom. What a fine President he would have made. Sadly, most people believe all that trash that has unfortunately been written in the last forty-three years about RFK and Marilyn Monroe. It's not true. The populace is so gullible and emotionally hungry with the desperate need to pull down the mighty to feel better about their insignificant lives. I stood at Bobby's gravesite in April 2015 at Arlington National Cemetery and in my heart knew all of that worthless gossip was not true.
I've never believed it about JFK either. These lies have undermined the reputations of both men. And while I think the Kennedy brothers (as well as Jackie) are worshipped too profusely, it is a travesty that so many avaricious bottom-feeders have found a way to line their undeserving pockets when most of these alleged biographers (the late Norman Mailer and the still-alive Kitty Kelley foremost among them) never knew Monroe or the Kennedys. Actually, Mailer may have met Monroe and tried to seduce her, according to Gloria Steinem, but he didn't really get to know her in the biblical sense or otherwise. As Jackie so long ago put it perfectly: "The River of Sludge will go on. It's not about me." It was all (and still is all) about the money.
R.I.P. Robert Francis Kennedy. You were a true American patriot who loved all Americans regardless of their race, religion, creed, class, or political opinions. Peace to your spirit.
