Robert, JFK, JFK Jr. or a different one

JFK was already a good president. Had there been no Dallas, he would have easily won a second term. But if people would have found out about his sexual affairs back then, no one knows if he would have been forced to resign or not.
RFK would have been a great president too, if he lived, would have beaten Richard Nixon, and won two terms.
JFK Jr., however, I'm nto so sure about. He didn't seem like much of a genious, if you want the truth. I think he took an exam a certain amount of times, flunked each time, and never took it again.
So RFK would have been great, JFK already was great, but I'm not sure about JFK Jr. -

RFK would've been far and away the best president of the three - he would have beaten Nixon and won two terms, definitely. Imagine how different the world would be with RFK as President 1969 to 1977! Ted Kennedy would have probably also become President later too: if RFK hadn't died, Chappaquiddick wouldn't have happened.
JFK - not so good. I think that it was only his assassination that cemented his reputation as the Iconic Liberal President. He did f##k-up the whole Bay of Pigs thing, bowed to the Republicans on a lot of issues and also had Addison's disease. I think that he would have lost the 1964 election if he hadn't been killed, and wouldn't be remembered quite so favourably.
I have no clue about JFK junior. -

I have to disagree with you on JFK being idealized in death
He was responsible for teh Civil Rights act, which he was late on but pushed for. It was the republicans who stalled it.
Bay of Pigs was a Eisenhower plan that Kennedy "OKayed" being told it didnt need US intervention. Dulles, head of teh CIA, lied expecting him to change his mind. He didnt, I applaud JFK for standing firm and not escalating a national incident.
And lets not forget the Cuban Missile Crisis. Kennedy was being pressured by ALL sides to bomb Cuba into next week. He was the only person (along with Bobby) that felt doing so was immoral and could lead to an extreme retaliation from the Russians.
We now know the russians had orders that if teh US did anything aggressive, tehy would launch80 million Americans dead.
The 13 days of teh Cuban Missile Crisis were more dangerous than any period in world historyinlcuding today.
If Kennedy had caved in to his advisors, Within minutes a nuclear holocaust would have ensued.
That incident alone places JFK on the top of my list.
Bobby, would have been better in the sense he was very "un-politician" and very committed to what he believed, whereas Jack was a bit more cautious. -

Al Gore was considering having JFK jr. on the bottom of his ticket in 2000 (before he was killed in July, 1999) In bet if JFK jr. hadn't of died AND Gore had chosen JFK jr then Gore/Kennedy would have defeated Bush/Cheney !!! for sure!
