Why no American films?

But not a single American movie for some reason. What gives?

The American film industry is a hard business to break in to for Asian actresses. They tend to get typecast as martial artists, often villains. And the ones who do get work are often very young: late teens to late 20s. Someone like Lucy Liu is the rare exception to rule.
