Should've been female lead in Lost

I know that she originally auditioned for Kate and the producers made another character for her because she was that good. But she has had better chemistry with Matthew Fox than any of the other characters. Looking in the Season 1 episode where she is working with Jack trying to save Boone's life that made me believe that the writers should have re-written the role of Kate to better suit her.

She does have a good chemistry with Matthew Fox, and now that I think of it Fox and Lilly does have the all grown up hot littel sister of the best friend thing going on.
If Abrames and Darelton would've not changed the original plan to make Kate the Lostways leader she would've won an emmy by now. -

Their characters HAD good friend/co-worker chemistry (people can gel without it geting romantic), but their scenes in season 2 and 3 were really flat. But I look forward to the tension that we'll certainly see in season 5.
Also, I seems moot envisioning Kate played by Yunjin because it's obvious that the writers shape their backstories around what the actors bring to the table, so even if Yunjin did recieve the role as the lead female and undercover fugitive, it probably woundn't be all that different to her role as Sun. -

I like KimYunJin as more feminine, but yea I always wonder what it would have been like to have her as Kate. It would have been a risky act, having an Asian main character in a tv show like this, so I'm not surprised that they cast Evangelline instead.
I don't think Sun has good chemistry with Jack though. Actually, I see red-hot sparks between Sun and Sawyer. Seriously, they have a2000 fiery relationship, she detests him and he's kinda scared of her LOL. In the slapping scene, I could see something there. =P -

Why is it risky to have an Asian main character in a tv show like this?
I do not understand what you are saying. Can you please explain?
Thank you.

No I am not, the weather is so much brighter where I am though.
It is risky to have an actor of any race/ethnicity in a movie. Even with an all white cast, a lot of tv shows/movies have done horribly.
