Well, you certainly can't disagree with the fact that Madonna was clearly not the first female pop star/artist to re-invent herself many times, perform/dress flamboyantly, or sing about sexuality.
I will say that her influence in pop culture and exploring sexual themes in music video could be seen as groundbreaking with the latter perhaps because of the fact that MTV did not exist before the early 1980s. Nevertheless, her use of sex appeal in music videos are highly influential and so is her business acumen.
But musically, she is not groundbreaking. That's an impossibility.

Cher peaked several times in her career. That doesn't make her an 80's star. She's a 60's girl. Madonna peaked in the 90's but she's still known as an 80's legend

That's not true at all. She was huge in the late 60s and 70s with Sonny in music and TV. Sonny wrote most of her famous songs too, which ones were covers? She was the original artist on nearly all her big hits. She had a comeback in the 80s/90s.
Do you ever know what you're talking about?

Exactly, and like I wrote earlier she clearly paved the way for Madonna.
Reinvention, flamboyant pe5b4rforming style, sexual empowerment, costume changes-these were things already done by Cher.
Madonna's real influence is in pop culture, but musically she has never ever been groundbreaking.

She peaked on the 80s as a singer and as an actress, she was not much known on the 60s, she did covers of hit songs with Sonny.
              Dumb as f_ck.
Cher actually peaked in 1998 with "Believe." The success she had in the 60s and the success she experienced in the 80s is pretty similar.
              You're so ignorant.

The amount of botox and plastic in one picture - amazing
but all jokes aside - I think they are great.
