Exactly. No true rock musician would consider that a rock song, and there have been far superior rock performances this year.
The Grammys just love to kiss Beyonce's ass for whatever reason. This is further proof of that.

How the hell is the song not rock?! Please elaborate. Th only reason why you say it's not is because its Beyonce singing it Its a rock song both with the production and with her vocal delivery.
Also the ROCK committee are the one who nominated the song. Its not like all the urban producers banded together to nominate t7eche song. I would think they know more about rock than you do -

Yeah. Jack White gave her some credibility/rock cred, but it's not a rock song. Like it's an incredible song, the best on the album. It's just a pop song with elements of rock and soul music. I don't know why people always think Britney Spears is the only kind of pop.

Beyonce sings pop songs. XO is pop. Pretty Hurts is pop. Pray You Catch Me is pop. Care to elaborate on what is pop about DHY ? It was written by a rock icon, produced by rock producers and engineers and samples a Led Zepplin song. The production is rock and Beyonce vocal approach is vastly differrent from her pop songs. I have a feeling we wouldn't be having this conversation if it were a tr2000aditional rock act singing the exact same song. Like you said the song is great and her performance on it is incredible. She deserves the nomination.
Coldplay has gotten rock nominations anf DHY is heavy metal in comparison to the songs they've been nominated for. -

I also love how Bizjo said that no true rock musician would consider the song rock when they were the VERY ones who said just that

Whats delusional is thinking you know more about whats rock and what isn't than a comittee experts of that genre
If this were about 'ratings' (since when the hell do genre categories bring in ratings anyway ?
)than Daddys Lessons would have gotten A country nod and Formation would have gotten in the R&B firld. -

Probably! Most overrated artist of all time. Does not write any of her songs and has not had as much impact as many artists in the past who barely have any grammys.
What matters in life is not what happens to you but what you remember and how you remember it. -

I'm still gagging at the fact that Lemonade had almost 100 writers on it, yet it's supposed to be her "most personable" record. She's no different than Rihanna in that regard, other than Rihanna actually helps with producing. Beyonce just sings and gets a nomination.

It's literally not. Before yes, but Rihanna was actually hands on with Anti in terms of production. I like how you left out the part where Lemonade had almost 100 writers because you know it's true. Not even Rihanna needed that much and she writes nothing
