    Hopefully he'll have a substantial amount of screen time and get to kick some ass. The Master Ninja Sho Kosugi is BACK!!!
    Ninja Assassin Starts Production in Berlin
    Source: Warner Bros. Pictures
    May 30, 2008
    Filming is underway on Ninja Assassin, being directed by James McTeigue (V For Vendetta) from a screenplay by Matthew Sand and J. Michael Straczynski. Joel Silver, Grant Hill, Larry Wachowski and Andy Wachowski are producing, with Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and William Fay serving as executive producers.
    Ninja Assassin stars Korean pop star Rain (Speed Racer) as the central character, Raizo; Naomie Harris (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) as Europol researcher Mika Coretti; Ben Miles (V For Vendetta) as Europol Agent Ryan Maslow;
    legendary martial arts performer Sho Kosugi (Revenge of the Ninja) as the ruthless leader of the Ozunu Clan
    ; and Rick Yune (Die Another Day) as Raizo's rival, Takeshi.
    Principal photography is taking place at Babelsberg Studios and on location in various parts of Berlin.
    Ninja Assassin follows Raizo (Rain), one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Taken from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth. But haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan, Raizo breaks free from them and vanishes. Now he waits, preparing to exact his revenge.
    In Berlin, Europol agent Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) has stumbled upon a money trail linking several political murders to an underground network of untraceable assassins from the Far East. Defying the orders of her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), Mika digs into top secret agency files to learn the truth behind the murders. Her investigation makes her a target, and the Ozunu Clan sends a team of killers, led by the lethal Takeshi (Rick Yune), to silence her forever. Raizo saves Mika from her attackers, but he knows that the Clan will not rest until they are both eliminated. Now, entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse through the streets of Europe, Raizo and Mika must trust one another if they hope to surviveand finally bring down the elusive Ozunu Clan.
    The behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Karl Walter Lindenlaub, production designer Graham "Grace" Walker, costume designer Carlo Poggioli and editor Giancarlo Ganziano. The Wachowski brothers longtime stunt coordinators Chad Stahelski and David Leitch are also on board as second unit co-directors.

      It is about time somebody brought Sho back. I cant believe hollywood would not try to get a icon like him back in the game. This is a great opportunity for Sho and I hope it is the start of more to come. awesome!

        I'm pretty amped myself. Having grown up on Revenge of the Ninja, Enter the Ninja, etc I'm excited they got him back in front of a camera. Hollywood has taken a nostalgic turn lately, with Star Trek coming out, various remakes and thing like that. It's great that Sho's making a comeback. As long as they don't cgi most of his moves and do wire tricks, a la Jet Li, it could be awesome

                  I agree. It is high time someone bring him back onto the big screen. Darn! I was pleasantly surprised to see the ninja-actor I grew up watching on Ninja Assassin!

                      Just saw this in hollywood. Shos performance killed. Didn't even recognize him, and didn't know he was such a good actor. He should be doing mainstream non-action projects as well, granted there's probably not alot of calls for older japanese male leads, but it would be cool to see him in more stuff.

                              Wow, just finding out that Ozunu was Sho! That's rawsome. I knew I recognized him, but just couldn't put my finger on it to save my live. Same thing with Naomie Harris as Mika. I knew I recognized her, but didn't know it was her. Both did well, as did Rain. Dope movie. Will be buying the blu ray no doubt.

                                  He looked so different. I didn't recognise him for the entire film, until the end credits. Age has really changed him. He gave a good performance. I hope he continues to make films and I hope Quentin Tarantino looks his way for a role in his next Kill Bill film. That would be awesome.
