She chose happiness over fame. Never became part of the Hollywood scene. Her career started being a main character in two shows simultaneously for 4 years. Plus being the longest running Noxzema girl at the same time. Now she is ready to concentrate on the education she missed and perhaps family.
Much of the above is conjecture based on perceptions and interviews more than any concrete fact.

Why would you think the latter? She was in a relationship with a white actor/singer for over nine years and nothing became of it. Supposedly she is now with another white guy who she met on the set of Beauty and the Beast and it hasn238't even been remotely that long. She said in an interview that marriage and kids weren't "growth markers" for her. Why would she care right now? The only reason I can think of is biological clock.
I don't understand women like her. She's almost thirty four. Why wait so long to get married and have kids when neither biology nor common sense dictates it?
Oh yeah, I forgot, she was part of that silly cult for so long and it gave her such nonsensical ideas.

That was just conjecture on my part based on her age and freedom from the time constraints of an actor's work schedule. I know next to nothing of her personal life.
Not everyone has designs to be a breeder. If fact a strong argument could be made that not having children would the responsible decision currently. Or perhaps she wanted to be around for the raising of her kids and so didn't want to have any while having an actor's work schedule. Don't know.
I'm curious why you stressed the race of her boyfriends twice. I'm very interested about the current US race mindset.

There were plenty of times in her past where she wasn't working: from the end of Smallville in 2008 to 2012, she did very little work.

Because they are. I'm sure it's easier for her to hang with the white folks. She wouldn't have to jump through hoops trying to justify her choices to others like she would if she was with an Asian or some other race.
