Because you're labeling her a hooker and a fake when that's simply not the case. You don't know her in any way and you're just judging her based on her looks, her style of dress and many exaggerated and false stories you can read on celebrity gossip sites and blogs. Sure, she's had some cosmetic work done, but who in Hollywood hasn't? She does a lot of good, because she looks after her 3 kids all by herself, and they are very well taken care of. Those kids never go without anything, she spends plenty of time with them and they get everything they need while not being overly spoiled either - and there are millions of deprived and neglected children in the USA. Shauna is very far from being a "dumb blonde" or a "hooker" as many detractors characterize her, with total ignorance. She's always polite and respectful, she's very sensitive and intelligent, has a degree in business administration and reads, writes and speaks fluent French, among many other accomplishments. She's an avid reader and she's very much anti-drugs, including marijuana, she drinks very little alcohol, eats very healthy and smokes only occasionally when she goes out, and never in front of her kids or in her home. She instills these values in her kids and forbids them from smoking, drinking or taking drugs and does everything to further their education. All her kids are well-behaved and highly intelligent and doing really well in school. They don't aspire to be like their mother, and yes, sometimes they seem to be embarrassed by her style of dress and attention-seeking behavior, but they love and respect her and she likewise respects their desire not to follow the same kind of career path as her. None of her kids are planning to be part of the Hollywood scene, nor is she encouraging them to follow her. Most people have gotten a completely false impression of Shauna due to the sensational Internet reporting about her. Shauna's a fine woman and a good mother and I hope she can finally meet a man worthy of her. Her major hamartia seems to be that she's addicted to beauty and always wants to be around a "beautiful" man like her ex, monsieur Chauvent. He seemed to be a decent individual, but they were not well-matched, and really that kind of guy is always going to be a butterfly, and now that Shauna is getting older, what she really needs is a serious man with established success in business, preferably outside the Hollywood set, to bring more stability to her life. I know that Shauna is a very nice person because I've met her on several occasions on an informal basis. She always struck me as very bright, articulate and sweet although actually a rather shy person and probably rather insecure, because she never succeeded in landing any major movie roles. She should perhaps have focused more on TV and getting a part in a long-running series or soap, because she really can act (but hasn't really been given the chance to show it, so far). Having interacted with her personally, I think I am in a much better position to judge Shauna Sand than you or any of the other people who attack her in such cruel and insulting ways on web boards like these without knowing anything about her except what they've read on false, mean-spirited celebrity "news" sites that make money out of saying bad things about people, concocting stories and disseminating fake rumors to harm the reputation of their targets and exploit the human emotion of Schadenfreude just to bring web hits to their sites Enough is enough. Don't think that you know somebody just from what you read about them online! You can only know somebody if you have met them, face to face, and even then you can't know them fully unless you can enter their confidence as a true friend. Think again before posting defamatory remarks about someone you don't know in the slightest. -

She looks and dresses the way she does for the attention. We, the people are allowed to judge her based off that. It has nothing to do with "if you don't like don't look" If she herself can't take the criticism she should consider a different lifestyle. If her fans also can't stand it, well, that's their own problem.

Of course, she's an attention-seeker, and the best way she can see to get that attention she craves is to dress in a provocatively sexy way and turn herself into what she perceives as a male fantasy of the perfect "bimbo". While there are a lot of men who hate that look, there are an awful lot more women who hate it. (Mainly down to jealousy, or a warped view of what it means to be a "feminist".)
However, for every one man who hates Shauna Sand's look, I can guarantee you there are several who like it, even if they would not care to openly admit it. Most men like women who are ultra-feminine, sweet and submissive - but it's not politically correct these days to admit it, because women are "supposed to be" like men these days. Personally, I think there are few 39-year-old women who could even dream to look as good as that or to be complimented and photographed everywhere they go.
And if you ever got the chance to meet her in person, or even watched any of her video interviews online, you'd see how incredibly sweet, cute, likeable and just plain fun she is in real life. Believe me, I know.
You might disapprove of her looks or style, but Shauna is a really nice person, and probably a many times nicer and better person than all of those who use these boards to make disrespectful insults about her. As someone once said, "It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice." -

I remember seeing Shauna Sand's Playboy centerfold when it came out back in 1996. And yes, she was smokin' HOT. I would see her in other Playboy appearances and she would get even hotter. But lately, I have noticed several pictures of her and it does appear that she has become obsessed with altering her looks with plastic surgery. It's just like tattoos, once you have one tattoo, it becomes an addiction for which it's the same thing with plastic surgery. I did have the honor of meeting Shauna at Glamourcon '07 in L.A. She was very nice and I would've loved to have taken a picture with her but she was charging $20 and I needed what was left of my money. Oh, well. Sure, there's going to be "haters" of Shauna Sand here on this board or anywhere else. But it's always better to find out about a person first be you cast any judgment on them.
