Absolutely. I've always thought Ted was unfairly snubbed by not not even getting a nomination for this. I rewatched this recently and I totally agree with you that second to Hopkins' his was my favorite performance in the film. The dance/make-up scene is kind of iconic, right? And he pulled it off so well.
Besides his deserving a nod, I can't help wishi1c84ng he'd been at the Oscars for that role if Joan Rivers had been there asking her usual question "Who are you wearing?"
