Let me begin by saying i'm the first person to start a topic on her profile. I'm NOT bragging but it is strange because she thinks she is soooo famous. A friend of mine works at a shoe store in Vancouver,Canada and saw her their.This is how the convo went:
Cashier:That'll be (whatever the total was couple hundreds dollars)Ma'ma
Katie:(Writes a check)
Cashier:I'm sorry can I see an I.D.,I can't read your signature Ma'am
Katie's Man servant:(shocked!)You don't know who she is?
Katie:(shocked!)You don't know who I am?
Cashier:No
Katie:(snotty)You don't watch Young and the Restless do you?
Cashier:No,I'm sorry.
Katie:Hers my card(it just had her name on it)
Ladies and Gentlemen the only people who watch this crap are Deseperate Housewives(pun intended),Retired women,gay guys, and unemployed women.And soap opera actors and actresses' jobs are not hard thats why its been on forever and there is a new episode a day. -

interesting that she had a little bit of an attitude i live in L.A. and have seen her around out and about at various events. i've never heard she has an attitude but i HAVE heard that she has a card w/ her name on it that she likes to hand out at the drop of a hat. however, if she is still doing the flight attendant thing (in addition to - barely - being on Y&R a few times a year), surely she can't think she's THAT famous.

Hi, so suprised you got that response s5b4ince I have followed this very giving person for over 22 years. There is nothing snotty about her. She is not only a contract player on Y & R but still remains a flight attendant juggling two jobs. She also uses her own time and money to devote to charity, one of many is ALS in which sadly her brother in law is very ill with. Sorry your friend had this experience. Even more sad you have the need to try to put her in a bad light. I feel everyone deserves to be cut a little slack. Especially the good people like Kate. Wishing you and your friend all the best life has to offer. P.S. I noticed in an article she was up in Canada doing another charity event to raise money for ALS with those so called horrible soap opera actors who are also giving their time to help.

I didn't necessarily find anything wrong with Kate Linder's reaction to the cashier. She may have just been kidding in fun and your friend simply miscontrued her side of the communication. The benefit of a doubt should be given to any celebrity in any situation.
As for your additional comment on soap opera viewing and acting, let me say this. If someone in your family left you their entire fortune made from working in the soap opera industry you wouldn't be so slow to spend it.
