Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Larry Linville

    betsieblack — 21 years ago(April 13, 2004 04:32 AM)

I'm confused. There's only one Larry Linville noted on imdb.com, but I can't believe the LL in Earth Girls Are Easy is the same one who was in MAS*H on TV all those years. I saw Earth Girls Are Easy a few years ago, saw Dr. Bob, and it's just not the same LL - can't be. AND in LL's movie listing, there's a movie listed for 2002, 2 yrs after LL's death! Are there 2 LLs and imdb combined their movie histories?

Lol, that's interesting. I don't know he could make a movie 4 years after his death, like imdb lists on his acting credits. Who knows, maybe there is another guy with his name.

I believe they began to film that movie in 93.. So he probably had filmed his part before he became ill?

You'll actually be surprised about the amount of actors who have been in movies a year or years after their death. BORING- It's about post preduction, release delays, etc etc. (probably)

I know that some movies are filmed at one time but may not be released for sometime. It seems plausible for a movie not to be released for two years after an actor filmed his role. They still have to do editing and other final adjustments and then they may wait until there's not much competition playing at the box office.

              The same with John Candy.
He did voice for the TV movie The Magic 7 (2006)
He did the voice in 1990 and passed away in 1994.
I have seen it happen on a few occasions.
I just watched Sin City and some of it was filmed in the early 90s.
A LOT of times it is money that stalls the movies or TV shows.

That's just how great an actor he was.
For example, in real life he was the exact opposite of Frank Burns.
