Sorry to her fans, but looks like she has been dropped from NCIS: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i7091575e2b2c21c2080cbea8cb54a362

Wow. That's unfortunate. Judging by the many negative threads out there, she was not perceived well.
WellI'm sure she'll end up fine and wherever she appears next, I'll be watching for her. Thank you for the information.
This adds a little more gloom to an already foggy NYC today.

WHAT??????? This is crazy.Louise was the only reason I was planning to watch NCIS: Los Angeles!!!! Forget that!
IF they need to recast anybody it's boring Chris O'Donnell! That sux!
Why do you say she wasn't preceived well, vegas? I thought everybody liked her.
They even moved The Mentalist to Thursdays to make room this showI hope it fails now.

            Hey Jude,
Don't make itwait. That's the song. How have you been?
Read some of the NCIS threads that popped up after the two pilot episodes.
A lot of the comments hated the entire cast, Louise, LL Cool whatsis, the analyst, you name itone reason or the other. Many found Louise's character cold or contribed.
Many also liked her or said they'd give the show a chance to develop before deciding to hate it or love it.
They're all entitled to their opinions.
            So:
Negative reaction to her role on the pilot led her to be recast.
            OR
She didn't like her role and opted out.
            OR
The producers didn't like her in the role and recast her.
            OR
The rest of the cast didn't like her and pushed her out.
            OR
            I dunno. I'm bummed out.
I don't know if I'll watch it now.
Sucks is rightWarrick's dead, Grissom and Sara are gone(at least together), Louise is off the spin off. Maybe she'll go back to CSI.
At least it's good to hear from you.
            Buh-bye..

Thanks Kikiin the pm I sent you I talked about this subject.
              vegas!
Cute, but you aren't the first person to say that to me.
Wow..really? Ah, those posters only like the original show with Gibbs & Tony anyway.
Geezit was just a 2 part storyline.couldn't they have given the show a chance and Louise a chance? I guess if you are a CSI fan you will be more familiar with her and know how great she is.
LLCoolJ wasn't that bad.the one who was awful imo was Chris O'Donnell. I find him to be a stiff and boring actor anyway.
Yeah, I agree with youI don't know if I'll watch itdepends on who they cast in her place. Kiki knows Louise on Facebook and she said she would ask her if it's trueI hope it's just a bad bad rumor.
I know! I miss Warrick too.
Been watching some reruns on Spike with him and it just breaks my heart not seeing Gary on CSI anymore.
Laurence Fishburne isn't doing the job for the fans.too many episodes centered around him and not enough on the original cast membersbut that's a gripe for another board.

Hey JudeI know I'm not being original, but that song was one of the defining numbers from my generation and your name brings it to mind each time I see it. I have such fond memories of those times.
Ahhh, Lawrence has been fine. Be patient and supportive. He's getting the Louise Lombard teatment from many fans.
I miss Brown, Side and Griss, too, but the show carries on. I've liked what I've seen so far. I hope the fans give the present line up a chance to develop.
Yeah, I watch the old ones on Spike, too.
Again, I don't know if I'll watch NCIS LA, now that she's not on it.
I hope she turns up somewhere soon

I love The Beatles too.I was a child of the 70's though.
My sisters were the 60's "flower children" and had all their albums.
Fishburne is a terrific actor but he just doesn't seem to have chemistry with the other cast members. It could also be the writingwe've been complaining a lot about the writing this season.
Yeah, you're right he has been getting the Louise Lombard treatment from fans.hopefully next season it will all work out.
Holy cow! I checked out the NCIS board and you were right.they were n-a-s-t-y in their comments about Louise and the news that she wasn't going to be on the spinoff! Only one person defended her and they ignored that person & didn't respond to him/her. The only bad things we've said about Laurence is he's boring on the show & it seems like too many "Langston" centered episodes. But those folks attacked her personally!
                  Everybody has a different opinion

I regret this decision. It's a poor decision. I thought her role was strong. Hard to say what the NCIS board has against her. They can be a nasty, insular bunch at times. In fact, I sometimes find it more interesting to discuss NCIS on the JAG board, where anything bordering on criticism of Holy Harmon and crew is more acceptable, albeit some JAG people don't like the "intrusive" discussion.

Unless Lt. Mann or someone really strong is cast in the show, I don't think I'll be tuning in, either.
I don't think all of the hostility written about Louise on the NCIS threads caused the recasting.
The producers might read these things, but, there must have been other indicators that caused the change.
                        Sucks for us.
Louise will be fine. She'll turn up somewhere. When she does, her fans will follow.

I agree. The "NCIS" producers aren't dumb enough to let a gaggle of disgruntled message boarders sway them in their hiring.
Particularly since many of them said they weren't going to watch the spinoff anyway.
I hope we get an explanation as to why Louise is gone.

NCIS was intended to be action-y entertainment presented from the right wing/authoritarian perspective of its creator. The early episodes showed this perspective more strongly. Sadly for SB, Mark Harmon was irreplaceable, and he did not share the producer/creator's perspective. Allowances were made (ie they toned down the background politics). After the original show's success, SB shepherded the spin-off NCIS:LA with the intention of exploring/protecting his original vision for the first show. Toward that end, he vetted his prospective leads for their political identification. All of them (apart from Kensi and Deaks[sp?]) are known for holding political views that are contrary (not so contrary these days) to the once predominately liberal views of Hollywood actors. They even added the inarguably superfluous role played by Miguel Ferrer just to give another known 'outsider' Republican a high profile job.
This has been an ongoing effort on the part of the wealthy people that produce the shows most Americans watch for more than a decade now (ever since the 96 Telecommunications Act destroyed media ownership regulations). Wealthy people were frustrated by the fact that many of the most vocal/high profile people opposing their political vision did so after gaining national prominence on shows that they (the wealthy stockholders) were backing. In the years since, we've seen more and more Republicans/authoritarians getting cherry roles, as the wealthy stockholders continue to fight their quiet revolution. The same dynamic is seen with Hollywood writers (the a la carte exceptions being the gay rights issue and the choice/no choice issue Those are fine/allowed to be advocated as neither of those specific issues cost the wealthy any money). Apart from that? On every economic issue, and every issue related to the expansion/justification of police powers, we see significant movement to the right. From the perspective of the wealthy, it's down to the question 'Why should we make liberals famous so that they can oppose us politically? We'll just hire people that share our views and replace the constellation of Hollywood "stars" with people that share our politics'. It gets really obvious sometimes (the casting of 'Dancing with the Stars', for example, which runs approx 85 or 90% Republican contestants)
Anyway Louise Lombard is not an authoritarian right winger, SB didn't want her on board, despite her appearance in the back-door pilot on NCIS. He didn't want to contend with the same arguments over plot/character development that he encountered with Mark Harmon on NCIS.
There is a subtle but entirely consistent difference in the tone of the two shows - and that's why.
Good on Louise Lombard for refusing to play along, and putting principle before career. Three cheers.
