Wow! I'm actually kinda sorry I clicked on thatI'm getting ready to watch the "restored" version.
Most females go through some sort of "prime" which is sometimes very young, sometimes in their teens and some are "late bloomers". Take the pictures when they're in their prime I saylol -

michael c jacobsen why do you see this so often on imdb.Everyone is so surprised when they see a beautiful girl or women when they are young and after not seeing them for a while they cannot believe that their great looks or beauty are gone .Lets remember you dont stay beautiful all your life you get older and your looks go with that.Sue lyon was only 14 years old when she started this movie .It was a tour de force for someone that age and you would have thought she was at least 17.She is not going to look like that when she is 50 or now at 60.But I must say she was a few years younger then me when she made that movie and my tertestorine level shot up to 100 just like james mason .I did look at that recent picture and wish I did not .I like to remember her as lolita and wish I was in movie terms one of the councilers at camp climax{hard to believe they let them use that word in that year].So let us remember her as that tease i5b4n the movie and one that all us boys wanted. And also her great sex appeal in night of the iguana.thanks for reading my post

She didn't look THAT bad in the picture. Given that she's no longer acting, I doubt she's had any plastic surgery. A lot of these older stars have plastic surgery and go on diets just so that they can look put together. Since Sue has long retired from acting, she probably doesn't feel obligated to maintain a certain appearance.
Perhaps because she was regarded for her looks when she was younger is why she looks "frumpy" now (or ten years ago). -

I'll tell you all one thing if you ever try to come to her and ask her about her experiences filming "LOLITA", don't be suprise if fusses or curses you out and telling you where to go. Let her be respect that!

Sue was one of my first crushes. But, yes she has had such a hard life since her fame. Many of us would have bitten the dust long before. I am just glad she is still with us and now living a 'normal' existance. A great actress in her time, and now a more grounded human being.

Obviously, we are used to seeing pictures of Sue as a teenager and a young adult, but honestly, she doesn't look
that
bad, especially given her age when that photo was taken. She still has a pretty face, but she is made up rather frumpy (which is natural seeing as shes home and relaxing). She needs to cut her hair up to her shoulder2000s, and lighten it, put on some nice-makeup, and trendier, more fitting clothing and she would still look prettier than other actresses her age with all their facelifts and botox.
Everyone dies, but not everyone gets to live.

Photos of her during filming of "The Night of the Iguana" (1963). Includes photos of her crying and talking with John Huston because he has barred her fiance from visiting the set.
