He mentioned he was thought of for the part but Suits schedule would not allow for it. The IMDB site doesn't mention his name of people even being considered. He's not a big enough draw for a part like that. Too bad though. He's great for TV.

Gabriel is an amazing actor regardless if he's on television or on the big screen. Granted him being on Suits is what he's mostly getting noticed for but I think that it's crap considering Gabriel is such an amazing actor and I'm surprised he's not a bigger actor then this but over all I think he's done pretty well for himself and has made some amazing films and I think he deserves more credit for his work then what he's been getting for it, although I love him in Suits. I know Gabriel mentioned in one of his interviews that they were actually considering someone else for Harvey before they were considering him and the man they were actually gonna go for with Harvey turned the role down and let me tell you I'm glad he did turn it down and that they went with Gabriel because they couldn't of chosen a better actor for Harvey Specter, Gabriel fits that role perfectly and I couldn't picture a different actor playing him at all, plus the chemistry between Gabriel and Patrick is awesome! you couldn't of picked two better actors for Harvey & Mike. I love watching these guys every week and I'm definitely looking forward to Suits coming back this winter that's for damn sure I'm definitely looking forward to watching Gabriel every week again! I miss Suits I miss looking at Gabriel's gorgeous face every week, I do have the seasons so I do watch the reruns a lot but it's still not the same. I think Gabriel honestly would make one sexy ass Batman to be honest he was sexy has hell has The Spirit so him being Batman would be awesome plus like I stated Gabriel is an amazing actor so he could totally pull it off and I would definitely pay to go see it and Gabriel would definitely be worth every cent.

He would of been great. When I heard Bale turned down Batman with a $50m deal, I thought who could play a playboy billionaire ass kicking super hero? The man who can rock a suit like no other, Gabriel Macht. It would of been great seeing him as Batman, but Batman is like an iconic figure now, and not many people would know who GM is. GM hasn't been given anything in his career that he can shine at until Suits. Very underrated actor, he needs better parts, and I hope he gets it. GM and Timothy Olyphant (Justified) are probably the two strongest actors on TV right about now.

He's underutilized as a movie actor where he could play in small roles with A-list actors, but he may be a late bloomer like George Clooney from ER, whereas Clooney was stuck on other TV roles for 20 years, which took Clooney almost 20 years before he was chosen as Batman and finally taken serious as a movie actor to get the roles he wanted. "Fine wine matures with age." Gabriel is to cool and underrated for TV and to toned down and soft for movies. For now, he's wet behind the ears, but give him time, he has time to prove his worth. Even Jesus wasn't a sensation overnight. He needs a little bit more polishing in character acting and maturity in roles. Once Gabriel has a breakthrough role, fans will flock overtime.
