No kidding, I was telling my wife the same thing. I came to IMDb to find a good picture to show her the resemblance.. Obviously he doesn't look exactly like Johnny Depp, but in the right light, he has several facial expressions that look just like him. Don't worry, you're not alone.

It's his eyes. He got the same eyes as Johnny Depp. That is why in The Spirit he looks like him cause with the mask on it focuses on the eyes. I am watching the movie now and that is why he reminds me of Johnny Depp. Even if you just focus on his eyes in his profile photo you will think Johnny as well.

Maybe in his earlier works, maybe?? but, from the very first moment he graced the screen in his character as "Harvey Specter" on "Suits"- (In my Opinion) I thought for sure he was a classier / sharper brother of Jason Segel, at first I even had to take a second glance to make sure it wasn't..
After looking up his bio, obviously no relation to the aforementioned, but without knowing that- I'd still swear he was a close relative / brother of Jason Segel. -
