Happy Birthday, Jaynie! I suddenly realised it was her birthday on the bus this morning. Just completely randomly came into my thoughts! I looked at my phone and was like "19th April, omg it's Jayne's birthday today". I almost said it out loud as well. It's right after my beau's birthday.
I'll watch

Remembering the fabulous Miss Jayne Mansfield on what would have been her 80th birthday
!! It is so shocking how time flies, I can remember when I first became familiar with Jayne back in 1979 as a teenager and was stunned then to realize she would have only been in her late 40's had she lived, she seemed like from a long vanished era even though it had been barely a decade. And now she is indeed from a long vanished era, gone for over 40 years but never forgotten. I don't think I actually saw her in a movie until the early 1980's when AMC came around and showed THE GIRL CAN'T HELP IT, KISS THEM FOR ME, and WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUNTER? although possibly the USA channel showed IT HAPPENED IN ATHENS right before this, by that time I had already read at least one biography of her and of course seen the 1980 tv movie biopic with Loni Anderson.
