I'm a fan of the film, but what should you really expect? If MGM puts in commentary and all the other bells and whistles, it'll bump up the price.
We'll be lucky to get damn stereo on the transfer. I'll bet you the final product looks as good as my VHS tape. -

As many people on message boards have suggested, you should get a computer audio program and record a free commentary in .mp3 format for the fans.

If I can I will, but although it may be free to the fans, it will not be free for me. Got a computer audio program lying around? IF MGM sues me or I suffer repurcussions as a result and they won't hire me, will you pay my legal fees and support me? LOL.

I don't think it's in any way illegal to record an audio commentary for a movie you don't have the rights to: see www.rifftrax.com for a library of Mike Nelson (of MST3K) commentaries for films like The Fifth Element and Road House, not to mention thousands of fan-created commentaries for whatever film they please (Roger Ebert mentioned fan commentary sites in an article). And there are plenty of free audio recording programs available online such as Sharecrow, all you need is a computer microphone and a copy of the film
