I was so sad when I heard he passed away. I was looking forward to seeing his acting in other shows, and when I learned he died it was a shock.
For those of you out there who smoking, please quit. If not for yourself, think of your friends and family who will miss you.

Right, 46 is really way too young, and Kiel worked pretty much up to the last.
He still had his youth appeal and sturdy stature, but those kinds of diseases are brutal and overtaxing on the system.
His work isn't shown all that much these days, but catch anything he's done on screen if you could because Kiel Martin is good in everything.
      Miss you, Kiel

Actually, with the proliferation of nostalgia programming cable networks, his early work is all over the place. You just have to look hard a and fast, as his roles can be short, and his appearance is much younger and fresher than his Hill Street Blues days.
Just saw him on an Episode of Ironside.

I just saw him on an episode of " Dragnet ".he was the worst, most disgusting criminal ever on that showhe beat his own baby son to death !
But he was gorgeous, so I came here on IMDB to see what else he's done. Hope I see him as a good guy soon !

It's a real tragedy that Kiel Martin drank and smoked himself into an early grave. Loved him on Hill Street Blues and in the underrated blaxploitation gem Trick Baby.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
