Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Doug McClure

    MDavout — 20 years ago(October 24, 2005 08:21 AM)

There were 3 US secret agents and each episode one of them would go off on a mission, using various high-tech (for the 70s) gadgets. It was like a low-budget Bond for TV or an unfunny Get Smart.
Does anyone know the show I'm talking about?

The only thing that I can think of that had Gene Barry, Robert Stack, and also Tony Franciosa was a show called "The Name Of The Game" but I don't recall Doug McClure being in it and I really like him so I don't believe he was in this show.

I remember "Search". I had forgotten that Doug McClure was in it. I seem to recall Hugh O'Brien in it, and he wore some kind of pendant that was a communications and video device and was being monitored all the time by HQ. My God I had forgotten all about that show. I used to like it.

papajohns is correct, it was called
              Search

It's easily one of the most entertaining shows of the early 1970s.
I was so incredibly disappointed when it was cancelled. The excellent cast and crew of this one truly deserved better.
