Someone who can communicate emotions through acting and not doing it in her native accent, I think she is amazing.
I can only think of another actor who emoted so well in another accent and that was Elijah Woods in LOTR. From the comments made by the other actors (notably, Sir Ian and Ian Holm), juggling accents and emotions is not an easy thing. -

I think she's a great actress. Better (in my opinion) than some of the TV work she's done has given her an opportunity to show.
I've seen her several times in live theatre here in Australia, before she got chances in Hollywood, and in my view she was never anything short of exemplary. -

I absolutely delight in her portrayal of Diana on The 4400. Diana could stand alongside Ripley from the Alien movies and fit right in. I don't know if she fits the physical description of Lieutenant Dallas from the J.D. Robb novels, but she sure has the spirit! Way to go, Ms. McKenzie!

Cannot say I have seen all she has done, but she surely fits well in a wide variety of environments. It's always interesting with artists who can transform - as opposed to those always doing variations on the same themeanyway she's charming both as goofy and babey and authority

It's scary how many people on here are defending her. Because yes, OP,16d0 she is absolutely awful. And no, psychotic posters, it's not because it's hard to act when you're doing an accent. Where the crap does that ridiculousness even come from? XD
Besides which, her accent is
specifically bad
. She sounds like she's doing some kinda old-fashioned dame from the 30s, it's very weird and out of place.
Whether they find life there or not, I think Jupiter should be considered an enemy planet.
