Considering 95% of the surrounding territories were all Mexican, it makes no sense at all. It also boarders on what is now currently Mexico and Cuba. Unless Trump, the convicted felon, declares that Mexico is now America, and POOF!

Mexico is contemplating suing Google.
Google could be facing a lawsuit from Mexico if it continues to show US-based users the label "Gulf of America" for the entire Gulf of Mexico, which touches the US, Mexico, and Cuba.
