She is a lackluster actor, ordinary looks. People like her should get down on their knees and thank whatever gods there be for their incredibly good luck.
It always seems to be the least talented ones who act this way. Insecure, with good reason.
I guess it's like looking at clouds. You see one thing and I see another. Peace. -

Southwardx3, I'd love for you to share what your experience meeting her was like. How did she behave and what did she do? I'm curious, as I keep hearing similar stories about her not being very nice.
I can't understand why Ryan is serious about someone like her. -

Thanks for sharing, Southwardx3. She sounds like such a jerk. I bet she's enjoying her rise in fame due to dating Ryan, even though she doesn't deserve it. Hopefully her time in the spotlight will be short-lived.

Pfff these stories about her behavior don't mean anything.
If they are true - and truth has many faces - then the best you can say is that maybe she's not the nicest person.
Is that really so bad ? Does that justify the hate ? Do our celebrities have to be Mother Theresa ?
If I hear how Ryan Gosling goes out of his way to be a nice person to everyone in a circle of 200 m (story above), then
that's
what worries me : it sounds like unnatural and artificial behavior.
High fiving the extra's my ass ! -

Either that or just being professional about being a public person. I take it you haven't worked in the service sector.
Also I believe the OP said that Gosling was high fiving the "crew" not the extras. -

Actually I do, which is what prompted my response : I've seen too many fake smiles..it's the kind of "professionalism" that starts to work on your nerves.
Also I believe the OP said that Gosling was high fiving the "crew" not the extras.
My point still stands : the alleged (mis)behavior of Eva isn't really in any reasonable proportion to the hate of the OP or on this board.
Chances are she's just a normal person with good and bad days. -

You must be one of those contrarian dbags that doesn't believe anything even after you've been robbed, beaten half to death, anally raped, and left for dead in an alley.
The fact is you've got wood for taco bell dogs. Don't call people a liar simply because your taste in women sucks ass.
I'm an open book to you good sir.
Keep them "facts" coming, I'll handle them in my own special way.
[And I don't think I really called anyone a liar, but unless you've got out of bed on the wrong foot today, you don't seem a big fan of nuance, so nevermind] -

From the descriptions that people are making of encounters with Eva Mendes, if they are true, it sounds as if she has serious anger management problems, or perhaps some other issue that is making her unbalanced or incapable of dealing with the public [even though she's an actress and that's what she does for a livelihood].
Let me just speculate: perhaps she can't deal with the overwhelming attention that celebrities receive on a daily basis? That might explain her 5b4cold, unapproachable demeanor in the grocery store. Or perhaps she is being defensive since so many catty women hate her for dating Ryan Gosling. I mean, she's not living in a vacuum and some of the horrible comments littering every forum on the Internet about her and Gosling must come to her attention. But that wouldn't explain her attitude towards film crew and extras. Maybe she's just a diva. She wouldn't be the first or the last. Hollywood is full of divas. My brother used to work in a retail store and Madonna walked in one day and he said she was horrible. She looked so unpleasant and absolutely, horribly unapproachable. One man had the nerve to come up to her. He said hello and told her that he had worked with her in some film that she had made years earlier and her reply was a frosty and nasty: "CAN'T REMEMBER, TOO LONG AGO" and she walked away without even looking at him.
