first of all, the OP is most likely a woman, and women have each other.
and second, maybe Mendes was having a bad day, if not, who cares? celebrities are people just like the extras that were there, i bet not every extra in that scene was as nice or cool as Gosling, but OP isn't complaining about them, why? oh i know, maybe because they're not famous
this kind of threads are ridiculous

In my opinion she does seem like she is conceited and rude. About Ryan Gosling it's good to know he's nice, after all these people called celebrities are famous and have tons of money thanks to(us) the people that pay to watch their movies. I would've thought Ryan was also arrogant. Interesting, thanks for sharing.

Sorry she couldn't take the time to become BFFs with some random people that she was working with; lol. Gosling (as you've explained it) seems like he was still performing, but to a different audience. Context is key friend.
        sorry for necroposting.

You didn't like her because she doesn't smile?

Sets are usually very stressful to actors. Expecting that an actor will hold an hour conversation with an extra when she is stressed or on her way to wardrobe is unrealistic. Expecting she's going to be nice when she has been pestered by a hundred fans before and simply wants to get her groceries or cloths or whatever store she is in is a pipe dream.
I have heard a zillion stories about a zillion celebrities about how they are rude on sets, bitchy in retail stores and temperamental when approached by fans. I've met a lot of people I have no use for at all but I've never posted those experiences because I wouldn't presume to know the person's mood or what kind of day they were having at that particular point in time.
My opinion is of extras who seem to delight in telling these stories on message boards o5b4ver and over is: When you are on a set, you're not there to mingle with celebs. You're there to work on the film. The main actors know this and when they get accosted by any person who starts a long conversation with them, they get a little testy to say the least. Especially if the director is giving the two of them the evil eye and pointing to a wristwatch or wall clock. or as one director I saw do, take a clock app on his pad and point to it.
