There's a new biography of the Merm coming out this fall. Maybe that will help to reawaken intrest in her! I love her too.

Why were all of Joan Crawford Fan's (I think that was her name) post deleted? They were perfectly appropriate.

I'm 22 and I think she's one of the classiest ladies to ever have graced the stage or screen. It's a shame indeed that Merman doesn't get more publicity than she does. Even though she passed over 20 years ago, her films are still a treat to watch. I just wish they'd release Merman's version of ANYTHING GOES onto DVD. I'm so very grateful that 20th Century-Fox finally released CALL ME MADAM onto DVD in 2004I 1c84just wish now that someone would restore and re-release the film soundtrack on CD.

22, she was a great personality. Her comic timing in 'Kid Millions' with Eddie Cantor was terrific.

Well she was primarily a Broadway theatre performer and this website is really for film stars. and her music is much more impressive live than recorded. and she has been dead for over 25 years now. but man oh man, if you ever get a chance check out some of her videos on YOUTUBE. Ethel Merman ROCKS!!!!
