Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Ethel Merman

There's some neat, seldom-seen Merman stuff on YouTube from various points in her career (and vocal status), including a rare performance of "Eadie Was a Lady" and an energetic version of "Ridin' High" from the Dinah Shore show that really rocks! There are also some musical shorts from the very early 1930s.

I just watched the one of her and Perry Como. I'll have to check out the others.

There's an interesting version of her "Merman Medley" from 1959/60 - it's very cleverly staged, she looks great and is in great voice - she really seems to be relaxed and having a good time with it rather than just doing it by rote, as was kind of evident in some of her later performances.
        Also, there's a
        great
clip of Merman, Carol Channing, Ann Miller and Della Reese performing "I'm the Greatest Star" on LOVE BOAT - these four pros perform beautifully together without a trace of one-upmanship.
