I always get happy whenever he comes on screen I really can't imagine a human being who would get a horrible feeling when Dick Miller appears, but I guess you must be the one.

How can you hate Dick Miller? I chear every time he shows up in a movie. You should see him in something where he has more than thirty seconds of screen time. Hell of an actor.

I get what you are saying, I kind of hate him (as the character) most of the time too, but not because Dick Miller isn't a great character actor or a bad guy in person, but rather because he is so good at portraying gruff and unlikable characters and leaves such an impression during his short time onscreen, that you kind of get an angry reaction when you see his face but don't remember why. Or, he's so good at that abrasive NYC guy behind the counter delivery that he probably reminds you of that jerk at the pawn shop or diner or wherever who was mean to the kid playing a video game too loud or would 5b4not let the Terminator put shells into his newly purchased shotgun..

I can't see how anybody can hate him, he's the "hey, that guy's in this!" moment in everything he does. Just got the complete series of "The Flash", and he has an excellent character in that series! The episode "Alpha" has him with the most screen time in it, and it's an episode that no fan of his work should miss!
Sincerely,

Just met him at Monster-Mania what a great guy. Soft spoken, kind and considerate. He helped me pick out a photo of him that he thought I'd like and signed it with a personalized note. He graciously got up from his chair and posed for a photo with my wife and I. He seemed to honestly appreciate hearing that we were so familiar with much of his work.
He's a pretty short man, so it didn't surprise me when he stood on his toes just before the photo was taken and laughed as he held me down from doing the same! It was a sincere pleasure meeting a true professional in an industry full of so many "odd-balls".
