I don't see a resemblance, either. But I do notice that Kate is sometimes shy during interviews but still manages to showcase her personality and not be rude. Take notes, Kristen, take notes. You don't have to be dry in order to come off as cool and mature.

Actually "cool" and "mature" DO go together. You can be mature without trying to hard, hence being "cool". Pretentious would be "uncool".

It's the way they hold their mouths open.
I would not be surprised because Shane and Kristin hold a similar lesbian vibe to them. While their orientations may not be concrete to the public, they both draw a certain mysterious attention that females are attracted to. They both have made a lot of people question their sexuality.

They do look alike. Especially with dark hair.
Nothing against Kristen, but Kate has more of a resemblance to Joan Jett. If the casting directors were going a slightly older route then Kate could have knocked it out of the park with that movie.
i was watching three rivers and when i first saw kate i thought she reminds me of kristen stewart. they look very similar its crazy!
