That makes him soooo much more attractive and appealing. He can be silly and goofy and isn't so vane that he insists on always presenting a perfect image.

I used to hate the sight of him! Except for
Dogma
and
Chasing Amy
. But it changed to respect after I saw
Gone Baby Gone
and I didn't even know beforehand and that it was him directing it. I loved its dark feel. And then he delivered a few pretty good performances after that (as well as directing), and I realised I don't hate his face as much as I used to. Same with Matt Damon. I couldn't stand their smug ****ing faces…but over time, Matt Damon grew on me. Like a fungus.
And Leonardo Dicaprio come to think of it.
I still don't like Leonardo DiCaprio's face though. He looks even more smug as the years go by.
Except in
the Revenant
. Not smug there at all, so there's hope for him still. I htink he's a very good actor though. He was fantastic in
What's Eating Gilbert Grape?
, for example. -

Anyhoo, Gone Baby Gone was a decent film. Although his brother wasn't quite the Patrick I envisioned from the book to be honest, I loved that it asked some darkly difficult questions of the audience. Lehane wrote a sequel to the story where we see the ramifications of Amanda being returned to her mother btw. -

I kinda love him even more knowing he is an absolute mess.
I never read book so I had no expectation at at all. I like Casey Affleck a lot as an actor. He was straight up sinister in
The Killer Inside Me
. I don't think many people liked that movie but I did. A couple of the violent scenes in that were uncomfortably realistic. Of course it went a bit batshit but I dug it anyway. He was great. -

I enjoy that about him. He seems like he would be so fun to hang with because you never know what you'll get! He comes across as always being so jovial and in such a good mood.
I'll never get why people rip on his "dad bod" when most of the guys here would be lucky to have HIS "dad bod" and never could get as jacked as he gets for roles. It's his personality that's attractive. The bod is just an added bonus, dad bod or jacked bod, I wouldn't kick either off the sofa for eating crackers!
