I just saw Tony Moran two days ago at the Chiller Theare Expo here in NJ. He is ooolllld looking, kind of tubby, and balding for those that were curious what he looks like now.
He is alive and seems well. Nice guy.

Umm, I saw Halloween many times but don't recall any part when Loomis was trying to talk to him at the mental institution. Was this extra footage or something?

In the 1999 DVD documentary "Halloween Unmasked," it's revealed that Nick Castle played Michael in the escape scene. As for the final stunt, it had been my understanding that that was performed by a different stuntman, Jim Winburn.

Let me clarify things: Jim Winburn performed the final stunt in H1; Dick Warlock did the same stunt when it was reshot for the H2 prologue.

                  In Halloween..
Nick Castle played Michael most of the time.
The scene when I think it was Tommy looking outside across the street and see Myers that was Debra Hill.
From an interview I read the scene when Michael breaks through the closest was Tommy Lee Wallace.
When Michael chokes Laurie and she pulls the mask off that was Tony Moran and when Loomis shoots him that was Moran as well.
The fall though was Jim Winburn. Apprently Carpenter himself had a scene where he was Michael. I believe that is stated on the Halloween: 25-Years of Terror DVD. As for what scene I don't know.
But it was Nick Castle for a majority of the movie. As for the child that plays Myers that I don't know off hand. All I do know is in the opening in the POV shot that was Debra Hill's hands.
Dick Warlock played Michael in 2. Castle wasn't in the movie.

Thanks 4 all the info guys. I don't remember a teen Michael in H2.What scene was it? This very well may be the kid who's sitting there staring out the window in the extra H1 footage. It's only like 30 seconds, then Loomis says to him, "You may have them all fooled, but not me." Since that extra footage was filmed at the same time as H2, you could be right.

They added extra footage for H1 to edit it for TV. This was done during filming of H2. There are a few other scenes that were added for H1, because with all the stuff they couldn't show on TV, it would have been too short, that is why they added the extra scenes.
                            Hope this clears things up.
Also, the only scene Tommy Moran is on H1 is when the mask is lifted over his head to get a scary look of the shapes face.
