Did she really leave Torchwood?

Actually I think Ianto was the least used. But I highly doubt they gave her a choice about leaving. It make me really sad. I thought she was a great character. I used to really dislike Owen, but in the last season they have made him a more sympathetic character, and then they go and kill him. The only good thing is that he did not know that Tosh was going to die.

Maybe the Doctor can take a little trip to the past in the TARDISI love it when they cross over shows! I could take or leave Owen, but I really liked Toshiko. She will be missed. (If it was an American show, I'd assume that they both asked for more money. They don't do that in the UK, do they?)

Hi Naoko said at the Comic-Con round table that she absolutely didn't choose to leave. That's been refuted, so we're safe to assume that one! There have been, however, a number of recent suggestions that Naoko may not have left the cast at all. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, because I haven't got insider knowledge on this one, but it seems a possibility judging from their behaviour at Comic-Con, and the fact that Naoko doesn't seem to be linked to any other projects right now. I'm cautiously hopeful.

From Naoko's interview with Wired Magazine
"When I read the script (for "Exit Wounds"), Tosh's death made absolute sense," Mori said. "She came full circle. She had evolved. And, her death was the right move for the show, also. To keep improving and growing, Torchwood needs to change."
"One thing I can say, hand on heart, is that I trust the writers. I trusted them while I was doing the show, and I trusted them when it came time to leave. You knew that when that script came to you, it came only after every syllable, every word was carefully chosen and edited."
It take long for Torchwood fans to bombard Mori with queries as to her true fate.
"I get asked if Tosh is really dead," she said. "Is she coming back? There's a part of me that wishes she could come back. But, it has to be for the right reason. I wouldn't want to cheapen what was a great death for Tosh."
So I'm guessing that yes, Tosh is gone for good.

Not to open a can or worms here, but they can hardly come out and say if she's meant to come back or not. For that reason, if no other, I try not to take these kinds of interviews too seriously.

I was upset when they died too. I wish they would have kept Tosh, Ianto and Owen. Tosh and Ianto were my two favorite characters too. I was so upset when they died. I can remember how much I bawled over thier deaths.
I can't turn it off!
That's because I locked it, idiot. -

Watching the series for the first time, didn't know they killed her character off early on, expected to see her in the next two seasons, I was very sad to see her go, I really like her as an actress and the fact that she is so beautiful even though her character was modestly dressed 90% of the time; was just extra icing.
I'm glad she's still getting work, sadly I'm not really a fan of Absolutely Fabulous so I hope to see her in a new film/series someday.
