It's a stupid question I know, but I'm just curious by nature.
We all know that Jim liked to drinkbut what exactly was it that he drank? Was he a SoCo man like the lying ass movie suggests at one part? If so, I love him even more.

Pretty sure Jim drank whatever he had at the time, I can't recall if he had a specific drink he prefered to drink. I also don't remember the movie saying he drank Southern Comfort, however, I do remember them talking about Janis Joplin and Southern Comfort which was he signiture drink.

I don't know exactly what he drank, but two drinks I'll always equate with Morrison are beer and whiskey. Beer, because of the lyrics "Well I woke up this mornin' and I got myself a beer!" (from the song
Roadhouse Blues
). That beer-in-the-morning image has always stuck in my mind all these years - even today I sometimes get up in the morning and want to get myself a beer.
And whiskey, from the lyrics "show me the way to the next whiskey bar must have whiskey, oh, you know why" (from the song
Whiskey Bar/Alabama Song
). One of the best drinking songs ever. Especially when you're fcked up on whiskey.

What did Jim drink? It might be easier to list what he didn't drink.
Jim was born James Douglas Morrison. So he could have called himself J.D. Morrison. And everyone knows J.D. stands for Jack Daniels. I think Jim did drink Jack Daniels. I don't know if that was his favorite. I am not even sure if he had a favorite. -
