We'll see who she is when she gets cancer.

"My 3 uncles have smoked all their lives, they're getting on now and are absolutely fine."
Thats lucky, many of my family members died young from smoking-related illnesses, they had smoked all their lives as well. In fact I never even saw 2 of my grandparents because they died young (i.e. 50s) from smoking-related illnesses. And I had to watch my Grandmother smoke herself to her death at 69, she looked more like a 90 year old in her last few years. She had a pretty good diet as well.
It is possible for some people to be less affected by cigarrettes, one of my Granddads is still alive at 78 -albeit in pretty poor health, had 2 heart attacks now- but more people do suffer the consequences from a lifetime of smoking in my experience. I really hate the things with a passion. -

"Blah blah blah cancer blah blah blah.
My 3 uncles have smoked all their lives, they're getting on now and are absolutely fine."
What, are you saying that cigs are completely safe and will not negatively affect you in any way?
"Why don't you make like the bass guitar and be inaudible? -

Well I don't know why everyone on here is so disgusted and shocked by the fact that she smokes. I mean sure, it's bad for you and everyone around you but in the modeling world smoking is no big deal and almost ALL the models smoke.

Just a short list. A lot of those girls are considered the best of the best.
They do it to keep their weight down. And also because 3/4 of their day is just waiting - waiting for hair and makeup, waiting for your turn, waiting for the technical crew to finish up. -

Sadly, that is why so many young girls take up smoking. It might be because of peer pressure, it might be because of stress, it might be for that claim that smoking suppresses appetite but it can also be because of those women listed. Lots of girls want something in common with these supermodels and smoking is the easiest route to that end.
I just think 4 packs a day is way too much. Hey, it's her life. She seems to be intent on being the female Keith Richards of England. -

xx_frostique, you can control your weight without smoking and you can do other things while waiting.
of course it is a big deal. it's a bad habit. also a lot of girls consider them as their role models/idols. we don't need these. -

Thanks for this site
Just for a matter of curiosity
There's a supermodel who stoped smoking few years ago Gisele Bundchen, since 2004 she claims to be an ex-smoker
In an interview Gisele said: "I started smoking when I was 16 because everyone else is doing it and it was pretty cool. Many years later, I've lost three people from my family because of cancer so I decided to stop. I'm young so my lungs can recover. Since I stoped smoking, I've been eating more because the food tastes so much better and got few pounds"
