Sky News contributor Prue MacSween has expressed concern for the safety of school children after a teacher at Marsden State High School stopped attending work after reportedly identifying as a cat.
Queensland’s education minister has since confirmed the teacher known as ‘Miss Purr’ was no longer at the institution.
“How unsafe were these children,” Ms MacSween told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“We have just gone to the extreme of ridiculousness.”
This was a teacher!? She would hiss and growl at her students when they asked her questions, wore cat ears in class, and would sit at her desk and lick the back of her hands.
I don't want to guess if she required a little box.
I'd like to know who actually hired this woman as a teacher of children and thought, yeah, sure, she seems sound, this will be a really good fit. What could possibly go wrong?
