How tragic for the both of them. I'm going out on a limb by saying this but it was probably genetic. They both died 3 years apart of the same condition at roughly the same age. May have been some kind of genetic deal.

At the gynecologist a month ago, I asked if cervical cancer was herditary and he said "No, cervical cancer is caused by HPV, and every once in a while it will be caused by molar pregnancies." Most people that have HPV though don't get cancer, it just goes away on it's own. I heard that her sister died from cervical cancer too so maybe they had a gene that made HPV going away on it's own less likely.

Her sister started out with cervical cancer, when it spread to her uterus it killed her. So they say that uterine cancer is the cause of death. Cervical cancer is usually very treatable if it's caught in time.
