Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Caroline Munro

    jamesbourke59 — 13 years ago(November 26, 2012 11:26 AM)

I had the great fortune to meet Miss Munro at the Memorabilia Fair on Sunday 25th of November just gone. When I checked the guest list prior to arriving and saw that her name was attached I knew I had to track her down for a chat.
To be honest you often expect the person to resemble their photo that's supplied, plus I've only only ever watched Miss Munro in such fare as Maniac, The Last Horror Film and Slaughter High. The last movie mentioned was my reason for wanting to speak to her.
Being a fan of her husband/director George Dugdale, granted he has only made to movies, prior to Slaughter High he directed an offbeat little pyschological thriller called 'Living Doll' Ofcourse when I introduced my self and I mentioned her other half, she immediatley smiled and we chatted away.
The greatest moment of our brief meeting was when she asked me if I wanted to speak to her husband, so she reached into her handbag and called him, alas Mr Dugdale appears to have been suffering from ill health for some time and was about to undergo a medical procedure(I didn't think it was appropriate to ask)so I nearly got the chance to speak to the man.
But I have to say Miss Munro was a real class act, b68although a little older she still looked pretty amazing and those eyes still had that sexy sparkle.
Miss Munro I bow to you.

you are brave to speak to her, i would be too shy, i would ask her to sign my pic and bookd and thats about it. I woul apologise im shy. I wonder how Caroline would feel about fans like me, do you think she would mind?
It would be an honour to meet this woman who has done hammer films and a bond film, franchises i am a fan of.

Unlike some of the stars that usually attend these events, she appears to be a very down to earth woman, and very appreciative of the fact that fan's want to talk to her.
So if you ever get the chance, don't hesitate.

Yes she is down to earth, but i would still be too awkward with her as thats how i am meeting stars im afraid, i hope she dont mind.
But i am sure i will meet her one day, and that would be nice.

She is a lovely woman and so easy to talk to. I've had the chance to speak to her twice - at a Hammer-con in London and this past Saturday at this year's Memorabilia show in Birmingham. She remembered my partner and myself from London, and helped me find a picture to get signed. Being a female, I didn't want one that was too much like a 'pin up' lol She actually had one from when she filmed the music video 'Goody Two Shoes' with Adam Ant, so I chose that one. If you get the chance, you must absolutely have a chat with her - she puts people at ease and is one of the nicest people I've ever met!
