Which episode was it and what season did she marry on ER. That sari was absolutely beautiful. Too bad the marriage didn't last long or have more content to it. At the funeral when the flag was handed to her the presenter messed up the formal speech he was supposed to say. I remember the correct speech because my hus2000band passed away a few years before that episode and I had the formal service at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.That mistake irritated me because there was no excuse to go Hollywood on such a solemn and moving moment.

On S11, she fell in love with Dr. Michael Gallant, an ex-doctor in the E.R. who was serving as a doctor with the US army forces in Iraq. The two met during S10, when Neela just arrived at the E.R. and became good friends just as he was leaving. They continued to corrospond through letters, and eventaully while Gallant was on a short leave of duty in the states they began a proper relationship. A short while later he returned to Iraq, but came back to the US once his service was complete. Neela and Michael rushed into their marriage, but Gallant was determined to return to service in Iraq - where he eventually died in a car explosion. Neela heard the news at the end of S12. In S13, long time roomate and fellow E.R. Dr., Ray Barnet, gradually fell in love with her, but it was obvious she doesn't feel the same. Meanwhile, newly resident Dr. Gates also wooed her persistently and the two went on a few dates outside the E.R. On the day of Abby and Luca's wedding, both doctors were fighting over her. Eventually, Ray decided to take off early after the fight, and was hit by a car on his way home (Neela's men don't have much luck). I stopped wathcing after S13

At the end of S13, she finds out the aftermath of Ray's drunken accident, wherein he lost both legs below the knees; he left the ER and returned home to Baton Rouge. Neela attended a rally where a bomb went off and she was trampled by the crowd, which left us in a cliffhanger. S14, in short, Neela was pretty much single and depressed throughout, sleeping with the new Australian attending, Simon Brenner, in the season finale. S15, Brenner keeps pursuing her but a short while into the season, Ray drops by the ER for a visit, and he's on some snazzy prosthetics. He and Neela spend the day together, and he leaves at the end of the episode because he doesn't want to rush into anything with her now that they're both "in a good place." Brenner continues to be annoying and he eventually snags her; they start dating, although Ray continues to be a (off-screen) presence in the background of Neela's life. Things start to go bad between Neela and Brenner and she breaks up with him because of him not opening up to her and the entire relationship just feeling wrong. Throughout the season, she's been wondering where to take her career and all signs pointed towards Duke University. However, in her last 'official' episode, she leaves County and goes to Baton Rouge to reunite with Ray and take up a position at the hospital he's working at. The end.
