She looks absolutely nothing like Alyson Hannigan, Ms. Nichols has light brown skin, dark brown hair and brown eyes. Ms. Hannigan had red to auburn colored hair, I've seen it dyed dark brown, pale skin and green eyes.
Even with dark brown hair Ms. Hannigan doesn't look anything like Ms. Nichols.
I think she and Constance Marie could be sisters, have similar features and are about the same height I don't think they look alike, but if they were cast as sisters it would be believable that they were related, I wouldn't say the same about Ms. Hannigan even with her hair dyed dark brown.
I also seem to recall Ms. Nichols being cast on "24" playing an Arab American working for CTU. I don't think Ms. Hannigan would have passed as an Arab American.

There's certainly a slight resemblance in their facial features, I've noticed it a few times.
IMDb-boards would be less confusing if people would mark their signatures clearly.
