You're really shocked that some people are still racist? Did you not read some of the news reports about what people were saying on social media sites when President Obama was elected and re-elected? Did you not read about Jackie Robinson's statue being defaced? Those are just two examples in a sea of idiocy that happens on a daily basis against people of ALL colors.
As long as people exist, there will be some form of prejudice. Instead of getting indignant about it, ignore those people and live your life.
That said, saying Chris Noth loves the Blacks sounds stupid. Perhaps he does have a type or preference like we all do, but I highly doubt he sees his wife as a "Black". I hope there's more to their relationship than that. -

Really? Come on now. . . It's his preference. Before he married his wife, his previous relationships have been with Black Women. Therefore he loves Black Women. Just like some Black Men prefer White Women and some White Women prefer Black Men, Asian Men etc. That's life. We all come in different shades and complexions. Saying that some of us are colour blind is just silly. -

they love diversity, good for them, but to say that someone CAN'T be color-blind, especially men, who will ogle at anyone really, now THAT is some kind of silly

Until I read your post I had no idea who he was married to or what color her skin is. And even now I still do not care.
Color of skin means NOTHING to me.
I cannot abide Noth because HE is a racist.

Because he accuses anyone not agreeing with Obama of being a racist. That in itself is racism.
Noth is a vile liberal who spews hate and divisiveness, advocating violence against those who do not agree with his liberal views.
I couldn't care less what color he or his wife is.

Hey CGSailor, very awesome post and I totally agree with you about
Obama's racist views and have heard the same about the 1st lady.
She doesn't like nor will not associate with anybody regardless
of race/ethnicity who doesn't like black people. And I never
voted for her extreme left wing idiot of a husband who cont5b4inues
to spew out racist, socialist-liberal garbage! And I actually
do like Chris Noth as an actor though never met him so did not
know of his pro-Obama views until I read your post. And as a
fellow navy veteran I supported Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush
and George W. Bush and in 2012 I was an unpaid volunteer for
the Mit Romney campaign for president. So perhaps now after
reading your post I will have a completely different view of
Noth as an individual! And like you I really couldn't care
any less of his wife's color or race. Thanks for your direct
and no nonsense post and btw one of my fellow sailors who
enlisted in the same year as me is also very anti-Obama.

You sound like the type of person who thinks some people don't like our president because he's black. It has NOTHING to do with the color of Obama's skin.(I think Barack Obama is a likeable guy.) It has EVERYTHING to do with how he is running our country.(into the ground)

Its 2013 and Racism still exists. So when somebody says to you that they hate someone who doesn't have the same skin colour as you, that thought of 'its because he's black or whatever' is going to cross your mind.

Fact: Racism has never gone both ways and never will! All you are getting is backlash prejudice. You are white and therefore you are priviliged! You are not made to feel self-hate because you are white. Being white doesn't stop from getting out of your bed in the morning. You're not reminded that you are white and inferior. You see everyone that looks like you are always in positive roles and being white doesn't stop you from getting a decent job and career. You will never go through institutional racism. Plain and simple.
