I was happy to see that they did not kill Logan off, but the miserable Ada sure caused enough problems. I just would like to have seen what actually happend that lead to his dismissal or choosing to leave. Anyway Good Luck Chris in whatever it is that you choose to do hereafter.

They are running out of ideas to get rid of Logan. The ending was kind of a mystery which leaves the door open for Noth to return.which he probably will.

On his last episode last season, he began having a "crisis of faith" - faith in the NYPD. That they were doing any good. Basically, he began to realized he had dedicated his life, no wife, no family, and it hadn't amounted to much.
Anyway, by all accounts, he retired. He was mentioned only once this season as having "left the force".

Which episode? Noth's last episode was "Last Rites." The episode where his leaving was mentioned this season was "Rock Star" I think.
