She is Australian. Just because you are in American produced movies doesn't mean she's American. SHe's been in plenty of Australian productions.

Whoever said Naomi Watts is Australian is wrong. She considers herself to be British and left the UK when she was 14 (fair enough if someone moves somewhere and adopts another nationality, but she hasn't she has stated a few times that she considers herself a Brit).
And the comment about Australians claiming anyone whoe is vaguely successful as their own was 100% right. I wonder why they do that? -

She moved to Australia when she was 2 years old so her whole childhood was based in Australia, so she is and always will be an Aussie. I never knew she was raised in Australia. Today I saw her in an Aussie movie, so weird seeing her talking Australian, I wonder if she will ever star in an Aussie movie again?

"ever hear of AC/DC or the BEE GEES
all irish moved to australia for a better life"
A comment as stupid as this deserves to be corrected, regardless of how old it is!
Angus/Malcolm Young and Bon Scott were born in Scotland to Scottish parents. The Bee Gees were born on the Isle of Man to English parents.
They are not even remotely Irish.
There are
far
more people of British (primarily English) descent around the world than Irish. The British just don't go "On and On" about it!
